15.2.3
Band Edge Emissions Compliance (Transmitter)
15.2.3.1
Test Specification
In any 100 kHz bandwidth outside the frequency band in which the digitally modulated intentional
radiator is operating, the radio frequency power that is produced by the intentional radiator shall be at
least 20 dB below that in 100 kHz bandwidth within the band that contains the highest level of the
desired power. If the transmitter complies with the conducted power limits based on the RMS
averaging over a time interval, the attenuation required shall be 30 dB instead of 20 dB.
15.2.3.2
Test Setup
The DA14680/681 range extender was mounted on a PRO-motherboard. In order to evaluate the
band edge emission levels for the upper and lower channels, the
SDK RF_Tools_CLI
was used. The
boards under test, were set into continuous wave modulation transmit mode using the command:
ble_txstream \<FREQUENCY_MHz\> \<POWER\> \<PAYLOAD_TYPE\>
.
An RF cable assembly was connected to the J3 RF Switch connector (MM8130-2600 by Murata) and
at the other end to the spectrum analyzer. Two channels were tested: channels 0 and 39.
