BIOS Setup
IDE HDD Block Mode
Enabled
The IDE HDD uses the block mode. The system BIOS
will check the hard disk drive for the maximum block
size the system can transfer. The block size will depend
on the type of hard disk drive.
Disabled
The IDE HDD uses the standard mode.
IDE DMA Transfer Access
This field is used to enable or disable the DMA transfer function of
an IDE hard drive.
IDE Primary Master UDMA
This field allows you to set the Ultra DMA in use. When Auto is
selected, the BIOS will select the best available option after checking
your hard drive or CD-ROM.
Auto
The BIOS will automatically detect the settings for
you.
Disabled
The BIOS will not detect these categories.
On-Chip Secondary PCI IDE
This field allows you to enable or disable the secondary IDE control-
ler. The default is Enabled. Select Disabled if you want to add a
different hard drive controller.
IDE Secondary Master UDMA
This field allows you to set the Ultra DMA in use. When Auto is
selected, the BIOS will select the best available option after checking
your hard drive or CD-ROM.
Auto
The BIOS will automatically detect the settings for
you.
Disabled
The BIOS will not detect these categories.
