TYPICAL INSTALLATION
WARNING:
ALWAYS turn compressor OFF, disconnect from
power source, and drain all pressure from system before servicing.
Note:
Air supply must be dry enough to avoid ice formation at tem-
peratures below 35°F (2°C).
Note:
These products are designed specifically for compressed air
service only.
Note:
Use a thread sealer or Teflon® tape on all male threads.
1. Securely mount the filter in a vertical position as close as possible
to air tool connection.
Note:
Air flow must be in same direction as arrow on filter body (See
FIG. 1). Verify the arrow points to the outlet.
2. System piping should be 3/8” minimum. Avoid using unnecessary fittings, couplings, etc., that restrict the
flow of air.
3. Connect the air supply to the inlet port (B).
OPERATION
WARNING:
ALWAYS depressurize the unit before removing the bowl. Personal injury and/or property
damage could occur. If bowl is difficult to remove, it may be under pressure.
1. Before pressurizing system, make certain the metal bowl (D) is securely screwed into the filter body (A).
2. Check that all connections are tight. A small leak will substantially reduce the performance of your
compressor. If you suspect a leak, spray a small amount of soapy water around the area with a spray
bottle. If bubbles appear, retighten or reseal the connection. Do not overtighten.
Note:
Drain filter whenever water can be seen in bowl by turning the drain lever (E) 1/4 turn.
MAINTENANCE
1. Inspect and replace cracked, damaged or deteriorated seals and bowls. Wipe bowls with a soft, dry cloth
to clean.
2. Replace or clean filter element periodically. Remove the filter element and tap filter on a hard surface or
use an air gun to blow out residual dirt.
3. Drain bowls at least once per work shift. To avoid spray or splatter, cover bottom of filter with a cloth and
turn the manual drain valve.
4. Before placing the unit in service, make sure the bowl is reinstalled and securely locked in place.

Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Contain long hair.

Always wear ANSI S3.19 approved ear protection when using
the tool. Prolonged exposure to high intensity noise is able to cause hearing loss.

Always wear ANSI Z87.1 approved safety goggles when using an
air tool. Air powered equipment and power tools are capable of propelling materials such as metal chips,
sawdust, and other debris at high speed which could result in serious eye injury.

Disconnect the tool from the air supply when not in use. NEVER
change accessories or perform maintenance or service operations while the tool is connected to the air sup-
ply.

away from heat, oil, and sharp edges. Inspect the air hose periodically and replace it if it becomes worn or

WARRANTY
ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY:
DEWALT Industrial Tools (the Company) warrants that for a period of
twelve (12) months from the date of purchase, it will replace or repair, free of charge, for the original retail
purchaser only, any part or parts, manufactured by the Company, found upon examination by the Company
or its assigned representatives, to be defective in material or workmanship or both. All transportation
charges for parts submitted for replacement or repair under this warranty must be borne by the original retail
purchaser. This is the exclusive remedy under this warranty.
Failure by the original retail purchaser to install, maintain and operate said equipment in accordance with
good industry practices, or failure to comply with the specific recommendations of the Company set forth in
the owner’s manual, shall render this warranty null and void. The Company shall not be liable for any repairs,
replacements, or adjustments to the equipment or any costs for labor performed by the purchaser without the
Company’s prior written approval. The effects of corrosion, erosion and normal wear and tear are specifically
excluded from this warranty.
THE COMPANY MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER,
EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED EXCEPT THAT OF TITLE. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY
WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE HEREBY
DISCLAIMED. LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL AND INCIDENTAL DAMAGES UNDER ANY AND
ALL WARRANTIES, OTHER CONTRACTS, NEGLIGENCE, OR OTHER SORTS IS EXCLUDED TO THE

Notwithstanding the above, any legal claim against the Company shall be barred if legal action thereon is not

INSTALLATION TYPIQUE
AVERTISSEMENT :
TOUJOURS éteindre le compresseur, le débrancher de la source d’alimentation et
évacuer toute la pression du système avant de procéder à l’entretien.
Remarque :
L’alimentation en air doit être suffisamment sèche pour éviter la formation de glace à
des températures inférieures à 2°C (35°F).
Remarque :
Ces produits sont conçus spécifiquement pour le service d’air comprimé seulement.
Remarque :
Utiliser un scellant pour filetage ou du ruban Teflon® sur tous les filetages mâles.
1. Installez le filtre en position verticale aussi près que possible du raccord de l’outil pneumatique.
Remarque :
Le débit d’air doit être dans le même sens que la flèche sur le corps du filtre (voir FIG. 1).
Assurez-vous que la flèche pointe vers la sortie.
2. La tuyauterie du système doit mesurer au moins 9,5 mm / 3/8 po. Éviter d’utiliser des raccords,
raccords, etc. inutiles, limitant le débit d’air.
3. Raccordez l’alimentation en air à l’orifice d’entrée (B).
FONCTIONNEMENT
AVERTISSEMENT :
Dépressurisez TOUJOURS l’unité avant de retirer le réservoir. Des blessures et/ou
dommages matériels peuvent survenir. Si le réservoir est difficile à retirer, il peut être sous pression.
1. Avant de mettre le système sous pression, assurez-vous que le réservoir métallique (D) est bien vissé
dans le corps du filtre (A).
2. Assurez-vous que toutes les connexions sont bien serrées. Une petite fuite réduira consi dérablement le
rendement de votre compresseur. Si vous soupçonnez une fuite, vaporisez une petite quantité d’eau
savonneuse autour de la zone avec un flacon pulvérisateur. Si des bulles apparaissent, resserrez ou
scellez à nouveau la connexion. Ne resserrez pas de façon démesurée.
Remarque :
Vidangez le filtre chaque fois en présence d’eau dans le réservoir, en tournant le
levier de vidange (E) d’un quart de tour.
ENTRETIEN
1. Inspectez et remplacez les joints et les réservoirs fissurés, endommagés ou détériorés. Essuyez les
réservoirs avec un chiffon doux et sec pour les nettoyer.
2. Remplacez ou nettoyez périodiquement l’élément filtrant. Retirez l’élément filtrant et cognez
légèrement le filtre sur une surface dure ou utilisez un pistolet à air pour éliminer la saleté résiduelle.
3. Vidangez les réservoirs au moins une fois par quart de travail. Pour éviter les éclaboussures ou les
éclaboussures, couvrez le fond du filtre avec un chiffon et tournez le robinet manuel de vidange.
4. Avant de mettre l’unité en service, assurez-vous que le réservoir est réinstallé et solidement verrouillé en
place
