4.2 Minimum Thicknesses of the
Subsurfaces
Masonry and concrete:
The thickness of the masonry or concrete must
a least be equal to three times the penetration
depth [L] of the setting nail, but at least 10 cm in
any case.

4.3 Setting the Firing Strength

overpenetration of the setting nail

30 seconds.
Perform a test fastening procedure
using the lowest permissible
cartridge and

ring strengths.
If the setting nail does not penetrate
far enough into the material:
Gradually increase the

ring
strength.
If the setting nail does not penetrate
deep enough into the material in
spite of having set the highest
fi
ring
strength: Insert a cartridge with
a higher strength rating and repeat
the test fastening procedure - start
with the lowest
fi
ring strength again.
Setting the

ring strength on the adjustment
wheel:
Increase: turn in „+“ direction
Decrease: turn in „-“ direction.
