Important Safety Instructions
•
Read and understand tool instruction manual before attempting
repairs.
•
Use only genuine D
E
WALT replacement parts.
•
Always wear ANSI compliant eye protection.
•
Disconnect air from tool and remove all nails before servicing.
•
Always point tool in safe direction when reconnecting air supply.
CAUTION:
•
Do not allow dirt, dust or other foreign materials to enter the tool.
•
Be careful not to scratch or damage the O-rings or any internal
surfaces.
1. Disconnect air from tool before servicing or repairing.
2. Remove all nails from the magazine and nosepiece before
servicing or repairing.
3. Remove 4 screws from top cap (A) with 4mm Allen wrench
provided in kit box (Fig. 1).
4. Remove piston/driver subassembly (C) from the tool (Fig. 2).
5. Remove cylinder (D) and bulkhead hold-down (B) assembly from
tool (Fig. 3).
6. Remove bumper (F) and bumper plate (G) from bottom of housing.
7. Ensure the inside of the tool is free from dirt and debris.
8. Place bumper (F) onto bottom of cylinder (D) (Fig. 4).
9. Place piston/driver subassembly (C) back into cylinder (D) (Fig. 4).
10. Place bumper plate (G) through the piston/driver subassembly (C)
and onto the bottom of the bumper (F) (Fig. 4).
11. Slide the cylinder/bulkhead/piston/driver/bumper/bumper plate
into the tool so the piston/driver subassembly slides down the
driver blade channel in the nosepiece.
NOTE:
The tip (I) of the piston/driver subassembly (C) has a
angled surface on the back side of the blade. Make sure the
piston/driver subassembly’s (C) angled surface is facing towards
the back of the tool. Slide the piston/driver subassembly (C) down
the driver blade channel into the nosepiece (Fig. 5).
12. Place entire cylinder subassembly back into the tool. Be sure to
properly seat the bulkhead hold-down (B).
13. Ensure top gasket (H) is properly placed between the top cap and
Frame before fastening the top cap.
14. Replace top cap (A) and fasten 4 screws with a 4mm Allen
wrench.
15. Tighten screws snugly to prevent leaks.
16. Ensure trigger and contact trip are working smoothly.
17. Set pressure on compressor or air line at 80 psi.
18. Pointing tool in safe direction, connect tool to air supply. Tool must
not leak air.
19. Check for proper operation of tool. If tool continues to leak air or if
problems persist, take the nailer to a D
E
WALT service center.
20. If warning labels are missing or damaged, request replacements
from a D
E
WALT service center.

Débrancher l’outil du circuit d’alimentation en air et retirer tous les
clous avant d’effectuer tout entretien.

Toujours orienter l’outil dans une direction sûre avant de raccorder
l’outil au circuit d’alimentation en air.
MISE EN GARDE :
•
Protéger l’intérieur de l’outil de toute saleté, poussière ou tout autre
matériau étranger.
•
Ne pas rayer ou endommager les joints toriques et les surfaces
internes.
1. Débrancher l’outil du circuit d’alimentation en air avant d’effectuer
tout entretien ou réparation.
2. Retirer tous les clous du chargeur et du nez avant d’effectuer tout
entretien ou réparation.
3. Enlever les quatre vis du capuchon supérieur (A) au moyen de la
clé Allen de 4 mm fournie avec le kit (fig. 1).
4. Dégager le sous-ensemble piston/enfonceur (C) de l’outil (fig. 2).
5. Retirer l’ensemble cylindre (D) et le dispositif de fixation du boîtier
(B) de l’outil (fig. 3).
6. Retirer la butée (F) et la plaque de butée (G) situées au fond du
boîtier.
