Configuring the OpenCom 100
Configuration
Resetting the System
Data
You can restore the factory settings
of the OpenCom 100 in the Configu-
rator. Should this not be possible, re-
fer to the next section entitled
Please note:
If this is done, all in-
dividual settings and the user data
are then lost. For this reason, you
should back up your configuration
regularly, the best time being after
every change. For details, refer to the
chapter entitled Saving and Loading
the Configuration starting on page 59
and to the Web console online help.
Proceed as follows:
1. In the Configurator, call up the
SYS Configuration
:
Restart
menu.
2. Click on
Restart with Defaults
.
3. Confirm this by pressing “OK”
when the query dialogue box
opens.
Hardware Basic Settings
Switch
The OpenCom 100 configuration can
also be reset to the factory setting
by means of the hardware basic set-
tings switch.
Please note:
If this is done, all
customer settings and user data will
then be lost.
To reset the OpenCom 100 to its ba-
sic settings, proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the OpenCom 100 by
removing the power plug.
2. Remove the cover.
3. Press the basic settings switch.
– OpenCom 105: The basic set-
tings switch is a key switch. You
press the basic settings switch
by inserting a pointed object in
the opening on the cover. Hold
the switch down.
– OpenCom 110/120: The basic
settings switch is a hook switch.
Close the switch.
You can see the positions of the
respective switches in the dia-
gram entitled
4. Replace the power plug in the
mains socket. Wait about 30 sec-
onds until the lamp on the front
of the OpenCom 100 starts to
flash steadily.
5. Remove the power plug from
the mains socket again.
6. Open the key switch.
