Activation is automatically can-
celled 30 minutes after the last con-
figuration activity.
Note:
During remote configura-
tion, the OpenCom 100 is blocked for
RAS access by any further users.
Please note:
The system PIN is
preset to “0000” and it is absolutely
imperative that the system adminis-
trator changes it to prevent undesira-
ble remote maintenance.
Using remote configuration, all
OpenCom 100 settings with the ex-
ception of the system PIN can be ed-
ited or updated. New software ver-
sions of the OpenCom 100 and the
software for the connected system
terminals and base stations can also
be installed (see the
SYS Configura-
tion: Firmware
menu in the
Config-
urator
).
For security reasons, settings in the
Configurator
,
Net Configuration
should only be edited on site to
avoid malfunctions or failures in the
customer’s LAN (e.g. due to IP ad-
dress conflicts). Refer to the chapter
entitled
starting on page 62, where interac-
tion between the OpenCom 100 and
a LAN is explained.
Codes for IP
Configuration
The IP configuration of the
OpenCom 100 is performed on the
Web console in the
Configurator
, in
the
NET Configuration: Easy Access
menu.
In the event that the IP configura-
tion of the OpenCom 100 has to be
changed and access via the Web
console is not possible, you can also
use a code digit procedure to change
these basic settings. Entry can be
made from an analogue telephone,
an ISDN telephone and from system
telephones.
Ask your system administrator for
the OpenCom 100 system PIN. The
factory setting is “0000”.
