The RS Line of the centering vices of the company DERO
Feinmechanik AG are specially developed for precision
grinding, wire cutting EDM, die sinking EDM and various
measuring operations.
The centring vices have been developed for use on 5- axis
machining centres such as
CNC- milling machines for the individual
part clamping and for the individual part clamping and for
pallet clamping on clamping systems.
The special feature of the centering vice is the central
clamping which is achieved with a spindel with right and left
thread.
User guide
The centering vice can either be clamped to the machine table
on the laterally circumferential groove with clamping claws.
For positioning holes and threads are attached to the bottom.
Customized holes and threads on the underside of the centric
clamp are also available for mounting. For tightening and
loosening the centric clamp it is recommended to use a torque
wrench. A process-safe voltage can only be guaranteed by
tightening with a torque wrench.

Maintenance
The centering vice is a quality product. To guarantee its
functioning for many years, the centring vice must be
disassembled, cleaned, and lubricated according to
instructions.
Instructions disassembly
» Disassemble the jaws.
» R 12 -
Remove the end stop screw on the front side.
Remove jaw holder by completely unscrewing the
spindle. The spindle can be turned on one side with an
Allen key (1.5mm).
» R 25 -
Remove guide leaflets by loosening the screws
on the end faces. Remove jaw holder by unscrewing
spindle completely. Loosen v2 countersunk screws and
remove cover plate.
»Pull out the spindle
»
Clean all parts. Pay particular attention to depressed
chips and remove them.
»Lubricate fixing bridge and spindle at collar with
grease.
»Lightly lubricate guides with slide way oil.
»Lubricate the spindle at the threads with slide way oil.
(no fat!)
Reassemble all parts in reverse order. Make sure that
the spindle engages both jaw holders at the same time.
Be careful when mounting the jaw holders to prevent
jamming. Check for centering by measuring both jaw
holders towards the end faces of the center piece Max.
