Metering Tip Kit, 61-9K *
1
*This unit does not have threads in the hose barb for metering tips. By eliminating the threads, the ID of the hose barb could be made
larger to accommodate the maximum chemical draw. You can cut down the maximum draw by using the 61-9K metering tip kit. The
metering tips will fit loosely in the hose barb but the intake tube will hold them in place.
2.
INSTALLATION:
a) Attach tubing to barb fitting under bung cap and screw bung cap into drum mount opening.
b) Attach garden hose with spray gun assembly to the injector outlet.
Note: Make sure that the ball valve under
the spray gun is turned to the off position.
c)
Water inlet is garden hose swivel. Use high-grade garden hose.
3.
OPERATION:
Turn on water supply. Turn the ball valve under the spray gun to full open for immediate chemical injection.
Note:
Water pressure must be at least 30 psi, in order for the injector to prime.
4.
SERVICING:
CAUTION: Turn off water supply before servicing.
A. Failure to inject chemical:
a)
Low water pressure. At least 30 psi is required.
b) Chemical passage clogged. Remove the injector and soak in hot water.
c)
Lime deposits in water passage. Remove the injector and soak in deliming solution.
B. Injection continues after water is turned off:
a) Turn the ball valve under the spray gun counterclockwise to close position.
1 cps (centipoise) is equal to the viscosity of water
75 cps is approximately equal to the viscosity of 10 weight motor oil
200 cps is approximately equal to the viscosity of most dishwashing detergents
