• Do not overload the trimmer
during operation.
• Avoid contact with obstacles
(stones, walls, fences, etc.).
The nylon thread would wear out
quickly.
• Avoid using the device in bad
weather, especially if there is a
danger of lightning!
Cutting grass
Cut the grass by
swaying the trim-
mer sideways to
the right and left.
Cut slowly while
the trimmer is tilted
forwards by ap-
prox. 30°.
Cut tall grass by a series of levels from
top to bottom.
A short or worn thread will cut bad-
ly. In case of deteriorating cutting
performance, it should therefore be
checked whether the thread reel is
still presenting enough thread. For
this, read the chapter on “Extend-
ing the Cutting Thread”.
Extending the Cutting Thread
The equipment comes with a tap mecha-
nism, i.e. the thread extends if the cut-
ting head is tapped on the ground. If the
thread is initially longer than the cutting
radius allows, it will be automatically
shortened to the correct length by the
thread cutter.
Caution:
Regularly remove grass rem-
nants from the thread cutter so the cutting
effect is not impaired.
Regularly check the nylon lines for
damage and whether the lines still
have the correct length defined by
the line cutter.
in case of deteriorating cutting perfor-
mance:
• Switch on the equipment and hold it
over a lawn area.
• Tap the cutting head (
15) on the
ground. The cutting head is adjusted if
the end of the thread is at least 2.3 cm
long.
if the end of the thread is shorter than
2.3 cm:
• Remove the battery (
21) from the
charger.
• Press the automatic feed switch
(
15) as far as it will go and pull
firmly on the end of the thread.
if no thread ends are visible:
• Replace the thread reel (see chapter
on “Changing the Thread Reel”).
Vertical cut / lawn edge
trimming
Special care and attention is re-
quired with vertical cutting lines.
To avoid injuries, keep enough
distance to the trimming assem-
bly.
Setup for vertical trimming:
Move the appliance to the right
and left in a slow swinging motion
to trim slopes and steep inclines.
• Handle rod: 180° (see
)
• Cutting angle: 0° (see
)
• Spacer bow in parking position
