Keeping water warm

The kettle has a keep-warm function.

z

With a temperature of 40, 60, 80 or 100 °C, you can keep the water warm for approx.
30 minutes. Afterwards, the kettle switches off automatically; two signal tones will
sound and all LEDs will extinguish.

z

If you have set a keep-warm temperature of 100 °C, the water will be kept warm within
a range of 90-100 °C, in order to avoid excess steam generation.

z

If you have set a keep-warm temperature of 40, 60 or 80 °C, the kettle will keep the
temperature approx. 8 °C below/above the set temperature.

Please note:

z

Only use the keep-warm function if a minimum of 0.5 litres of water are in the kettle.
Otherwise, the small amount of water could boil away during the next 30 minutes and
the dry-run protection (see page 11) will switch the appliance off.

z

If you cannot set a temperature, it is probably because the water temperature in the
kettle is still higher than the desired temperature.

z

You can stop the boiling procedure at any time by pressing the on/off button

 or the

KEEP WARM

 button

z

As soon as you lift the kettle off of the base, the appliance will switch off and all settings
will be lost.

The keep-warm function can be activated before, during and directly after boiling water.

Prior to boiling water:

1.

Press the

KEEP WARM

 button.

2.

Press the

SET TEMP

button repeatedly until the appropriate temperature LED

illuminates in the operating panel.

3.

Press the on/off button in order to start the boiling and subsequent keep-warm
process.
The LED of the relevant temperature, the

KEEP WARM

 and on/off button

 will

illuminate.
The water is heated and then kept warm.

During boiling:

1.

Proceed as described in the “Boiling water” section (see from page 8).

2.

Press the

KEEP WARM

 button during boiling.

After the water has boiled, the LED of the relevant temperature, the

KEEP WARM

and on/off button

 will illuminate.

The water will continue to be kept warm after heating
