9.2.5.15 

"RMS value, band 1/2/3" characteristic value

The DSP determines (calculates) the RMS value (root mean square) using all the 
lines within a narrow frequency band of the frequency spectrum. The frequency 
band is determined via the middle fm and the width fw. The frequency band can 
be fixed or adapted to rotation speed.

It is recommended that the frequency band be set so that the left and right limits 
are lie  between the spectral lines. Each spectral line will then clearly lie within or
