Note: 

Follow the general instructions for installation of the converter. If necessary, 

read the manual of your computer, or ask a specialist for help.

Hardware Installation

Connecting IDE/ATA/ATAPI devices:

1

.  Make sure that the Jumper is set on MASTER in your device.

.  Connect the 40 pin connector of the converter to your device.

3

.  Connect the 4 pin cable to the converter and the other side to the device.

.  Connect the power supply to the power socket and the other side to the 

device.

5

.  Now follow the driver installation.

Connecting 2.5“ IDE devices:

1

.  Connect the 2.5“ IDE adapter to your 2.5“ HDD.

.  Connect the 40 pin connector to the converter.

.  Connect the 4 pin cable to the connector and the other side to the IDE 

adapter.

.  Connect the power supply to the power socket and the other side to the 

converter.

5

.  Now follow the driver installation.

Connecting SATAI/II devices:

If you want to use SATA devices make sure your PC possesses an eSATA port. It 

does not work via USB.

.  Connect the SATA connector of the converter to your SATA device.

.  Connect the power supply to the power socket and the other side to the 

converter.

3

.  Now follow the driver installation.

Driver Installation

Windows 2000, XP

1

.  Switch on your computer.

2

.  Plug the USB cable into your USB Port, resp. the SATA cable into your eSATA 

Port.

.  Switch on your converter.

4

.  The converter will be recognized and you can start using the device 

immediately.
