Restore Factory Defaults
To restore factory defaults:

Restore Switch Configuration
to replace the current configuration
settings by the factory configuration default settings.
Domain Name System (DNS)
The Domain Name feature enables configuring the usage of site names in
place of IP addresses. It contains the following topics:
• DNS Settings
• Host Name Mapping
DNS Settings
The Domain Name System (DNS) converts user-defined domain names into
IP addresses. Each time a domain name is assigned, the DNS service
translates the name into a numeric IP address, for example,
www.ipexample.com
is translated into 192.87.56.2. DNS servers maintain
domain name databases and their corresponding IP addresses.
To add a DNS server and specify the active DNS server:

The list of previously-defined DNS servers is displayed.

( ) to set the global DNS properties.

Enter the following fields:

Default Domain Name
—Enter the default domain name.

DNS Status
—Select
Enable
to enable mapping of host names into IP
addresses through a DNS server.
–
Domain Name Query Interval(sec)—
Enter how often DNS queries
will be sent or check
Use Default (8 sec).

Click
OK
.

To activate one of the currently-defined DNS servers, enable
Active Server
