Dell WorkStation 400 Systems Service Manual

3. Disconnect the DC power cable and the SCSI cable from the top of the 

SCSI drive.

4. Remove the mounting screw from the drive assembly.

5. Rotate the right side of the drive assembly away from the chassis and 

remove the assembly from the chassis.

6. Remove the four screws attaching the SCSI hard-disk drive to the drive 

bracket (see Figure 5-17).

When you replace the SCSI hard-disk drive assembly, be sure the two tabs on 
the left side of the bracket engage the slots on the chassis interior divider.
