Removing The Processor

1.

Follow the procedures in 

Before Working Inside Your Computer

Remove the 

rear cover

.

3.

Remove the 

rear stand

.

4.

Remove the 

rear I/O cover

.

5.

Remove the 

rear stand cover

.

6.

Remove the 

system board shield

.

7.

Remove the 

CPU fan

.

8.

Remove the 

CPU heatsink

.

9.

Press the release lever down and then move it outward to release it from the 

retention hook that secures it.

10. Lift the processor cover and remove the processor from the socket. Place it in an 

antistatic packaging.
