Removing the USB Board

Follow the procedures in

2.
Remove the battery (see
Removing the Battery
).
3.
Remove the center control cover (see
Removing the Center Control Cover
).
4.
Remove the keyboard (see
Removing the Keyboard
).
5.
Remove the media controls board (see
Removing the Media Controls Board
).
6.
Remove the palm rest (see
Removing the Palm Rest
).
7.
Remove the media card reader board (see
Removing the Media Card Reader Board
).
8.
Remove the optical drive (see
Removing the Optical Drive
).
9.
Lift the latch to disconnect the USB board cable from the USB board cable connector on the system board.
10.
Remove the screw that secures the USB board to the computer base.
11.
Make note of the USB board cable routing and pry up the USB board cable.
12.
Remove the USB board from the computer base.
