Removing drive backplane
The procedure to remove the backplane is identical for all backplane configurations.
Prerequisites
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the drives and backplane, remove the drives from the system before removing the backplane.
CAUTION:
Note the number of each drive and temporarily label them before you remove the drive so that you can replace them
in the same locations.

Remove the air shroud.
4
Remove the cooling fan assembly.
5
Remove the backplane cover.
6
Remove all drives.
7
Disconnect all the cables from the backplane.
Step
Press the release tabs and lift the backplane to disengage the backplane from the hooks on the system.
