Replacing a Storage Processor
CAUTION
!
Handle a storage processor gently, and use an ESD wristband. Do
not remove a faulty storage processor until you have a replacement
module available.
To remove a storage processor:
1. If you are replacing the storage processor, remove all cables and
Ethernet connectors from the storage processor.
2. Loosen the two captive screws at either end of the storage
processor. See Figure 3-7.
3. Pull the release levers out and away from the storage processor.
4. Gently pull the storage processor from the enclosure, while
supporting it at its sides.
5. Place the storage processor on a static-free surface.
