Server node port designations - Linux R630/R730xd servers
For single-node VxFlex Ready Node servers running on Linux, connect cables and
configure the ports as shown in the configuration tables, according to the server type.
The following additional information should be taken into account:
l
The logical bus address is dynamic and will be allocated by the operating system.
Use the slot name to correlate to between the bus address and port name of the
interface in the operating system.
l
In storage-only configurations, the customer ports can be used as additional data
ports.
Note:
When the AMS configures the data network ports in Linux, the interface
names used are sio_d_1 and sio_d_2.
