Replacing the network daughter card
The network daughter card (NDC) is a small, removable mezzanine card that provides
the flexibility of selecting different network connectivity options. To replace the NDC,
perform the tasks in the following checklist, in the order they are listed.
Note
Before starting this FRU procedure, familiarize yourself with the topics in Important
information before performing a FRU procedure on page 56.
CAUTION
This FRU procedure requires you to perform mandatory software tasks in VxFlex
OS, as described in the
VxFlex Ready Node Field Replacement Unit Software Guide .
You will be referred to these mandatory software tasks in the following checklist.

Perform mandatory software tasks to prepare the node for part replacement:
☐ 1 Gather the server
information required for
performing the NDC
replacement. See "Network card replacement procedural checklist" in
the VxFlex Ready Node Field Replacement Unit Software

. Perform the relevant tasks, starting with
"Gathering server information," until you are directed
back to this guide for the actual hardware replacement.
