GETTING STARTED

PROGRAMMING

- Before the system can be used the Rx Plus Pro Mini Receiver must first be programmed to recognise the users uniquely coded transmitters (Tx-i Plus or Tx Plus).  The recom-

mended method is to use SINGLE CHANNEL PROGRAMMING where the user programmes the individual LED channels to match the LED colour of the Delkim Plus Bite Alarm, however this is not

essential.  The user may programme any colour combination of Delkim Plus Bite Alarm into any channel of the Rx Plus Pro irrespective of LED colour, i.e. three blue LED Delkims may be programmed

into red, white & blue LED channels on the Rx Plus Pro if required.  In addition MULTI-CHANNEL PROGRAMMING allows the user to programme up to 4 individual transmitters in each LED channel with

full visual and audible information (see ADVANCED USE later in instructions for full details).

SINGLE CHANNEL PROGRAMMING

(Usually required once only unless additional transmitters are added to the system, changing battery does NOT clear memory)

STEP 1

- Connect a PP3 battery, fit inside the battery compartment, close the door and turn up the volume.  Note - The volume control is totally independent from that on the Delkim Plus which can be set

at zero, the recommended setting.  For optimum performance it is recommended to use a Duracell MN1604 battery.

STEP 2

- Switch on into L (Local).  Note - Programming in L (Local) guards against possible data corruption due to radio interference.

STEP 3

- Press and quickly release programming button once, situated at the bottom right of the receiver back - Channel One LED starts flashing (Purple Haze).

STEP 4

- If programming of the first channel is required, activate the first Delkim, either automatically by just switching on or manually by vibrating the sensor to transmit the code.  When the code is accept-

ed, it is confirmed by a double tone and the next channel's LED starts flashing.  If the channel does not require programming, press and release button once to skip to next channel.  Note - During pro-

gramming once a code has been accepted, the Rx Plus Pro will give an audible error message (bee-bah) if further transmissions of the same code are received.

STEP 5

- Repeat Step 3 until all required channels are programmed.

COMPLETE PROGRAMMING BY PRESSING AND RELEASING BUTTON THROUGH ALL REMAINING LEDs - THE Rx Plus Pro

WILL CONFIRM COMPLETION VISUALLY AND AUDIBLY BY CONFIRMING THE FACTORY DEFAULT OR MEMORY SETTINGS.

STEP 6

- Check that programming has been exactly to the users requirements by switching on into either L (Local) or D (Distant) and activating each programmed Delkim in turn as described in Step 4.

Note - If programming is incorrect see the RESET section.

STEP 7

- Fit mounting clips or Velcro as required.

Note - Single Channel programming will take up to 6 transmitters, either Tx-i Plus or Tx Plus.

THE DELKIM Rx Plus Pro RECEIVER IS NOW READY TO USE.

RESET TO CLEAR MEMORY AND RESTORE ALL FACTORY SETTINGS

If a wrong channel has been programmed in error, either clear the memory or if using a Tx Plus swap the transmitter over to the correct Delkim. This procedure should always be used if you are in any

doubt about what is programmed and wish to start again, programming then has to be repeated.

STEP 1

- Switch receiver off

STEP 2

- Press and hold the programming button down and switch the receiver.

STEP 3

- Continue to hold the programming button down until a "pip" is heard and then release button.  All the LEDs will start to flash for 5 seconds.

STEP 4

- Press and hold the programming button down again WITHIN THE 5 SECONDS, the LEDS will stop flashing, wait for another "pip" and then release button.  The LEDS will flash once and the

UNPROGRAMMED

start up sequence will be repeated confirming a successful reset and restoration of the factory settings.

USING THE Rx Plus Pro MINI RECEIVER

Switch on the Rx Plus Pro Mini Receiver into either Local (L) or Distant (D) and set volume to required level.

TO MAXIMISE BATTERY LIFE IT IS RECOMMENDED TO USE LOCAL (L) FOR ALL IN SWIM SITUATIONS WHERE THE RANGE IS UP TO 50 METRES.*  Only use Distant (D) for occasional out of

swim use over 50 metres*.

*Range will always depend on bankside obstructions, atmospheric conditions, positioning of transmitters & receiver and may vary from unit to unit.  The range check facility will give a rough guide to the

reception range but as conditions may change constantly it should not be relied upon.  USING A TRANSMITTER CLOSE TO THE GROUND OR HAVING ANY METAL OBJECT CLOSE TO THE AER-

IAL TUBE MAY REDUCE THE RANGE SIGNIFICANTLY.

FUNCTION MEMORY

This remembers the customer settings and

ONCE THE UNIT HAS BEEN PROGRAMMED

indicates them audibly and visually each time the unit is switched on.  THE FACTORY DEFAULT SETTINGS

ARE ANTI-THEFT ALARM AND VIBRO ALERT ON.   TO CHANGE FACTORY SETTINGS SEE ADVANCED USE.

ADVANCED USE

MULTI-CHANNEL PROGRAMMING

What is Multi-Channel Programming? - The user can programme up to 4 Tx-I Plus into one single LED channel with individual visual and audible differentiation.  This allows, for example, 4 Blue Tx-i Plus

to be programmed into the Blue LED channel and when activated each would give a different number of flashes i.e. 1, 2, 3 or 4 repeatedly for the 20 second latch period.

Prior to programming is recommended that multiple Tx-i Plus of one colour LED be labelled for identification as 1, 2, 3 or 4

STEP 1

- Switch on into L (Local).

STEP 2

- Press and hold down button until a "pip" is heard then release button immediately - first LED starts to flash once accompanied by repeated audible "pips" - this confirms that multi-channel pro-

gramming has been activated.

STEP 3

- Go to required channel by pressing and releasing the button until the channel LED you wish to programme is flashing.

STEP 4

- Activate the Tx-i Plus you wish to programme in as No 1 in that channel either by switching on or manually by activating the sensor - when the code has been learnt the receiver will confirm

audibly and visually that it has been accepted and the LED stays flashing waiting for the next Tx-i Plus to be programmed in.  The LED will flash 1,2,3 or 4 times depending on which multi-channel has

been coded.

STEP 5

- Keep repeating Step 4 until all required Tx-i Plus are programmed in to the same channel (maximum of 4 per channel). The codes will be accepted sequentially i.e. 1.2.3 & 4.

STEP 6

- If any more Tx-i Plus are to be programmed into another channel press and release the button until the required LED is flashing then repeat Steps 4 & 5.

Note - Multi-Channel programming will take up to 24 transmitters, either Tx-i Plus or Tx Plus

COMPLETE PROGRAMMING BY PRESSING AND RELEASING BUTTON THROUGH ALL REMAINING LEDs - THE DELKIM Rx Plus PRO RECEIVER IS NOW READY TO USE.

CHANGING FACTORY SETTINGS

CANCEL ANTI-THEFT ALARM

- The Rx Plus Pro will confirm audibly and visually that the Anti-theft Alarm is set with two quick alarm tones accompanied by the LEDs all flashing.  It is recommended

to set the Anti-theft Alarm whenever the bite alarms are unattended even for a short time i.e. when the user is sleeping or when leaving the swim.  To switch off Anti-theft Alarm, switch off hold down the

programming button, switch on the Rx Plus Pro Mini Receiver into either Local (L) or Distant (D) with the button held down and release immediately.  To reset Anti-theft Alarm simply repeat the above.

CANCEL VIBRO ALERT

-The Rx Plus Pro will confirm that this has been set every time the unit is switched on by cycling twice.  To switch off Vibro Alert, switch off, hold down the programming button,

switch on the Rx Plus Pro Mini Receiver into either Local (L) or Distant (D) with the button held down and wait for TWO audible "pips" then release button.  To reset Vibro Alert simply repeat the above.
