User Manual UX11
The information is shown at the bottom left of the map view, above the scale indicator. The
coordinates are displayed according to the preferred coordinate system.
Where the Digital Elevation Modem (DEM) is also available, the interpolated terrain height is also
displayed.
Note
Height is not displayed where the local DEM is not available for the displayed area. For obvious
performance reasons, the Delair SRMT90 web service is not used in that case. (See
The SRTM90 DEM is relative to the EGM96 geoid. If you choose a different vertical coordinate system, the
displayed height therefore includes the offset to that system (and therefore, for instance, might not be zero
at sea level).
Projected coordinate systems and geoids might apply within specific bounds on a local area only, in which
case the projection may be invalid. In such a case, the application displays
Transformation failed
. Also note
however that some projections may still provide a result while being outside of their bounds, without failing.
The resulting projected coordinates, however, do not represent anything accurate and cannot be used for
any process.
9.1.3.3 Other options
Mesure units
Select your preferred system of units in the the
Help
>
Options
>
Mesure units
panel.
The selected units are used for display in several places (image metadata view, height filtering, etc.).
Note
Altitudes in the application are also displayed depending on the selected coordinate reference system. If the
coordinate system specifies a vertical unit, the latter is used.
Additional measure tools can be enabled in the
Window
>
Map decorations
>
Measure tools
option.
Once enabled, measure tools are accessible via a dedicated button on the map view:
• Measure lengths
• Measure areas (surfaces)
• Measure angles
Language
After installation, the application is configured to use the same language as your operating system, if
supported, or English otherwise.
You can manually set it to any of the other supported languages via the
Help
>
Options
>
Languages
menu. The language change will then take effect after a restart of the application.
Flight logs
In order to continuously improve Delair products, and to provide the best possible experience to the
user, Delair gathers information on aircraft behavior by collecting and analyzing flight logs.
