Vertical steam ironing
Note:
Vertical steam ironing can be applied
to hanging clothing items (suits, jackets and
coats).
1. Set the desired steam level by pushing
the steam setting knob

2. Hold the iron in a vertical position and
press the steam burst button

to steam
iron your curtains and your garments on
the hanger.
Steam burst
1. During ironing, in order to remove
tenacious creases, use steam burst by
pressing on the steam burst button
J
3-4
times with 5 second intervals.
2. When you start to iron, steam burst may
not emit for the first few presses. In order
for steam burst to be effective, the
temperature setting dial C should be at •••
or a higher level.
3. Iron out creases in garments with steam
burst by pressing the steam burst button

during steam ironing. However if this
process is maintained without interruption,
water may also emit from the iron
soleplate

along with the steam.
4. If you don’t know the fabric of your
garment, first iron a part that is not visible
and determine a correct ironing temperature
for it.
5. In order to prevent shiny stains that may
form on synthetic fabrics or silk, iron on the
reverse side of the fabric. Do not use the
spray function, this may cause staining.
NOTE:
For the best steam
quality, do not use more than
three successive bursts each
time. Several pumping actions
are needed to activate this
function.
Steam ironing
1. Set the desired steam level by pushing

2. Set the required ironing temperature (see
“Setting the temperature”). Make sure that
the temperature setting dial

is within the
range between ••• and MAX. When the
thermostat warning light

switches off,
the soleplate has reached the operating
level required in order to generate steam.
Lime protection system (Anti-Calc)
The lime protection system in the water tank
of your iron prevents clogging of the steam
holes. Lime protection system is always
active and there is no need to replace it.
Automatic shutdown
x
If the appliance is stationary for 30
seconds while in horizontal position, it will
automatically switch off.
x
If the appliance is stationary for 7-10
minutes while in upright position, it will
automatically switch off.
x
If the appliance is stationary for 30
seconds while in a leaning (right or left)
position, it will automatically switch off.
x
If the appliance is moved in a horizontal
position it will switch on.
1. To reheat the iron, lift it up and move it
gently. The thermostat warning light
B
will
switch off.
2. When the temperature of the soleplate
falls under the set iron temperature, the
thermostat warning light
B
illuminates.
3. If the thermostat warning light
B
is
illuminated after moving the iron, wait until
it switches off again before starting to iron.
Note:

If the thermostat warning light

is not
illuminated after moving the iron, the
soleplate is still at the required
temperature and the iron is ready to use.

In case of automatic switch off, the auto
off light

flashes.

It may take 60 seconds for the soleplate

to reach the previously set temperature.
Water spray
1. Ensure there is sufficient water in the
water tank. The spray function may be
used in order to remove tenacious
creases by pressing the spray button

during dry or steam ironing.
