Signal connections
Warning!
The Defensor Mk4 should be disconnected from the mains supply
(power and control unit) and protected against inadvertent connection before
making the following connections and adjustments.
Connection possibilities
An external controller (active or passive) can be connected to the terminal on the
control p.c.b. on both types of unit (“ST” and “IT”).
Note: When connecting an external controller to a unit of series “IT” the internal
controller must be deactivated (see instructions for display unit).
Instead of the external controller a humidity sensor can also be connected to the
terminal of “IT” units. The internal controller must be activated for this purpose.
For regulation with a pneumatic signal the pneumatic adapter available as an
option “Z244“ can also be connected (installation details can be found in the se-
parate instructions for the pneumatic adapter).
Connection of active controllers
Active controllers supply a voltage or current signal and should be connected as
shown on the adjoining diagram. Please observe the following connection data:
Voltage range:
0…10 VDC with phase control up to 20 V
Current range:
0…20 mADC
