Installation of the external radio humidity sensor
1. If necessary adjust the channel at the external radio humidity sensor (factory setting: Channel
1). See paragraph “modify the channel at the radio humidity sensor” in this chapter.
2. Open the battery compartment and insert the battery ( observe correct polarity ), then close
battery compartment again.
3. Mount the radio humidity sensor at the desired location while observing the notes on locating a
radio humidity sensor (do not install in niches, do not install in places exposed to air flow, etc.).
Commissioning/automatic channel adjustment

If the battery is inserted in the radio humidity sensor and the PH... is
switched on and ready for use, the PH... detects automatically the ex-
ternal signal source and the corresponding channel.
If the
channel is not yet set in the PH... the opposite display appears.
Press the <OK> key in order to confirm the proposed channel. The signal
source is automatically set to the external radio humidity sensor and the
corresponding channel. Then, the unit returns to the normal operation
display.
Note: If you press the
<ESC>
key, the previous signal source (e.g. in-
tegrated humidistat) is maintained and the unit returns to the normal
operation display.
If the
channel is set
in the PH... already, the opposite display appears
to confirm, that the communication between radio humidity sensor and
unit functions. Confirm the message by pressing any key. Then, the unit
returns to the normal operation display.
Note: If the messages above are not confirmed within 30 minutes, the
unit returns automatically to the normal operation display and the unit
continues running with previous settings.
