Set temperature

To modify the temperature of the water used to make the coffee, 
proceed as follows:
1.   Press the 

 icon (B7) to enter the settings menu.

2.   Press the  

 and   icons (B5 and B6) until “SET TEM-

PERATURE” is displayed;

3.   Press the    icon (B4);
4.   Press the 

 and   icons (B5 and B6) until the re-

quired temperature is displayed (

= low,

 = 

high);

5.   Press the    icon (B4) to confirm;
6.   Press the 

 icon (B7) to exit the menu.

Water hardness

The operating period can be extended if required, making desca-
ling less frequent by programming the machine on the basis of 
the real lime content in the water used.  
Proceed as follows:
•  Remove the “Total Hardness Test” strip (attached to page 

2) from its packaging then dip it fully in the water for a 
few seconds. Remove and wait about 30 seconds (until it 
changes colour and forms red squares).

•  Turn the appliance on by pressing the ON/stand-by button 

(A7).

•  Press the   icon (B7) to enter the menu and then the 

 and   icons (B5 and B6) until “WATER HARDNESS” 

is displayed. 

•  Press the    icon (B4);
•  Press the 

 and   icons (B5 and B6) until the num-

ber coincides with the number of red squares on the test 
strip (for example, if there are 3 red squares on the test 
strip, select the message “WATER HARDNESS 

lll

” .

•  Press the    icon (B4) to confirm. 
 

The coffee machine is now programmed to provide the des-
cale warning when actually necessary.

Contrast

To increase or reduce the contrast of the display, proceed as fol-
lows:
•  Press the 

 icon (B7) to enter the menu and then the  

 and   icons (B5 and B6) until “CONTRAST” is dis-

played. 

•  Press the    icon (B4). 
•  Press  the 

  and 

  icons (B5 and B6) until the 

required level of contrast is displayed: (

 = low; 

lllll

 = high)

•  Press the   icon (B4) to confirm.
•   Press the   icon (B7) once to exit the function or twice to 

exit the menu. 

Buzzer

This activates or deactivates the buzzer emitted by the machine 
each time an icon is pressed or an accessory is inserted/removed.

 N.B.: 

 The buzzer is active by default.

To enable buzzer, proceed as follows:
• 

Press the   icon (B7)  to enter the menu and then the 

 and   icons (B5 and B6) until “BUZZER” is dis-

played. 

• 

Press the   icon (B4). ““ENABLE?”” is displayed. 

• 

Press the   icon (B4) to confirm.

• 

Press the    icon (B7) to exit the menu.

To disable the function:
• 

Press the   icon (B7)  to enter the menu and then the 

 and   icons (B5 and B6) until “BUZZER” is dis-

played. 

• 

Press the   icon (B4). ““DISABLE?”” is displayed. 

• 

Press the   icon (B4) to confirm.

• 

Press the    icon (B7) to exit the menu.

Statistics

This displays statistics relating to the machine. 
To display, proceed as follows:
1.   Press the   icon (B7) to enter the settings menu.
2.   Press the 

 and   icons (B5 and B6) until “STATIS-

TICS” is displayed;

3.   Press the   icon (B4);
4.   By pressing the 

 and   icons (B5 and B6), you can 

check:

-  how many coffees have been made;
-   how many milk drinks have been made;
-   how many times the machine has been descaled.
-   the total number of litres of water delivered.
5.  Press the   icon (B7) twice to exit the menu.

Default values (reset)

This resets all menu settings and programmed quantities back 
to the default values (with the exception of the language which 
remains as set). 
To reset the default values, proceed as follows:
1.   Press the   icon (B7) to enter the menu;
2.   Press the 

 and   icons (B5 and B6) until “DEFAULT 

VALUES” is displayed;
