OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

SETTING TO WORK – DRAIN AND SEWER CLEANING (Cont’d)

39.

Check collector body debris level and if not requiring emptying move to next

location.

40.

Check overload warning light is not flashing. If so, drain excessive debris water

or main water tank until light goes off. (Optional)

DE-WATERING FACILITY

To optimise payloads the ‘Extractor’ collector body is fitted with a de-watering

system to enable drain off excess water. This is located on the rear door.

The system is simple to use, simply fit a drain hose to the 80mm drain valve, run hose

out to drain and open valve. If the De-water screen becomes blocked turn the valve off,

disconnect the hose and turn the Vacuum pump on.

HYDRO-EXCAVATION/HAND GUN CLEANING

(If Applicable)

1.

Follow “Spotting and Set Up” instructions as per clauses 1-15 under this

section.

2.

Secure hand gun assembly to hose end fitting on small reel and unroll hose

length required.

3.

Activate Remote Controller (as listed at end of this section) and turn Hydro pump

switch located on the main control panel on left hand side of unit to “ON”

4.

Turn “ON” vacuum pump on Remote Controller and the system is ready to be set

to work.

5.

Upon completion of job or upon reaching load limit, shut down system by

following clauses 16 and 20 under “Setting to Work”.

NOTES:

a)

Main water pump cannot be engaged while hydro pump is

activated.

b)

Dewatering of the debris tank is not recommended when

hydro-excavating, as the water content of the debris allows for

a more effective unloading.

c)

It is important to unload debris on a regular basis so as not to

permit compaction of debris.
