HOW TO USE
• Before first use, you are recommended to turn on the
appliance with no food. You will observe a small stream of
smoke when it is used for the first time. This is normal and
does NOT cause any harm. It will disappear in a very short
time.
• When you are going to use it for the first time, clean the
surface of the plates with a damp cloth and then dry them.
You can spread the plates with butter, margarine or cooking
fat. As the sandwich maker is covered with an anti-stick
surface, the use of butter or oil is optional.
• Close the sandwich maker and plug it into the mains. The
red pilot will light up to show that the appliance is switched
on.
• Prepare your sandwich while the appliance is heating up.
• The green light will also light up when the cooking
temperature has been reached. While in use, this ready
light will light up and go out in a regular fashion. This means
that the thermostat is regulating the temperature of the
appliance.
• Attention:
when working, the cooking plates heat up. Be
careful not to burn yourself.
• Open the sandwich maker fully. Place a slice of bread on
the lower part with the buttered side towards the plate.
• Add the filling.
• Add the upper slice leaving the buttered side upwards
and carefully close the sandwich maker. Do not force the
closure. Steam will come out between the plates; make sure
your fingers do not come into contact with the steam.
• Close the two halves with the locking clip while it is toasting.
• Your sandwich will be ready in 3-4 minutes or more
