fore re-entering obstruction.
8. Slowly clear obstruction while retracting ca-
ble back into the drum.

Set chain knocker collar

diameter.
6. Starting at furthest section of cast iron pipe,
operate drill in FORWARD direction and at full
trigger while retracting cable back into drum.
7. Heavy line flushing must occur to prevent
stoppage of line while descaling.
OPTIONAL: Use camera to ensure satisfaction
with de-scaling of pipe.
OPTIONAL: Descaling wears carbide chains faster
than non-carbide chains.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Do not enter cable into stoppage without drill at
full trigger.
A camera can be run simultaneously with the
Vortex Mini – keep chain knocker at least 12 inches
in front of camera to prevent damage to camera
head or pushrod.
Plain chain knockers are for general use, including
grease.
Carbide chain knockers are for use in cast-iron
de-scaling.
