The Brakes

The brakes on your e-bike are disc brakes. They generally provide for very fi ne stopping

and control. This is a very tested and well-designed technology, but even so, the brakes

will require servicing from ti me to ti me, and may have to be adjusted for tension.

When the brakes are acti vated, tension increases and the clamps engage. This is a very

eff ecti ve and reliable way to stop a vehicle.

The Chain and Pedals

The pedals are connected to the rear wheel. Along with the chain, they provide a human-

powered  “drive  train”.  This  is  an  important  part  of  your  e-bike.  The  pedals  are  not

removable and should not be removed.

VeHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER
(VIN)

Your unit comes with a Vehicle Identi fi ati on

Number.  You  should  write  this  down  and

keep  it  somewhere  safe  in  case  of  theft

of  your  unit.  This  is  also  required  for

registering your warranty on the warranty

secti on of Daymak.com. To fi nd the VIN on

your Ebikeinabox look on the left  hand side

of the steering column right above the front

forks.
