Selecting a Suitable Location
Power Racer 270 can either be mounted on a table or on your lap. Select a suitable location
ensuring that the Pedal Base Connection Cable can be arranged in a way to avoid people or
pets from tripping over it or damaging the equipment.
If you would like to mount the Power Racer 270 on a table, use the suction pads located on the
underside of the Power Racer 270 to securely fix it in position. When relocating the wheel use
the quick release tab located on the suction pad at the rear of the wheel to easily release the
wheel.
Connecting the Pedal Base
Position the pedal base in your preferred position and connect the Pedal Base Connection
Cable to the Pedal Base Connection located on the rear of the Power Racer 270.
When connecting the Pedal Base Connection Cable ensure that you orientate the cable
correctly and when pushed inwards ensure that it clips in position. To remove the Pedal Base
Connection Cable, pull the arm located on the connector inwards and pull the connector
outwards.
Pre-set Profiles
Profile Switch
The Power Racer 270 can be set to one of three pre-set profiles allowing you to change the
configuration of the wheel without the need to connect the wheel to a computer. Each of the
profiles are selected using the Profile Switch, which can be set to the position ‘P1’, ‘P2’ and ‘P3’
representing each of the profiles as shown. The position of the Profile Switch can be changed at
anytime with the wheel connected or disconnected from the console.
Profile 1 is the default configuration with the button layout and wheel sensitivity designed as
an ideal setup for a majority of racing games.
Profile 2 is designed as an ideal setup for the game ‘Dirt 3™’, with the button layout and wheel
sensitivity specifically configured for ‘Dirt 3™’.
Profile 3 is designed as an ideal setup for the game ‘Forza 3™’, with the button layout and
wheel sensitivity specifically configured for ‘Forza 3™’.
All three pre-set profiles use the control ‘RT’ for the accelerator pedal and the control ‘LT’ for
the Brake Pedal. The layout of the wheel for each of the pre-set profiles is as follows:
