7.18. Menu item 19: MODBUS communication settings
Function
The instrument can be connected to a PLC or to a computer for
MODBUS RTU slave protocol communication.
Here you can find how to set communication parameters.
Note 1:
When no communication option is installed than these parameters are
indifferent.
Note 2:
You have to set at the PLC or at the computer the same
communication parameters as here.
Sequence of operations
1. Enter the menu by typing the supervisor code.
2. Keep stepping by pressing the
▲
button as long as you see this
menu item.
3. Enter the menu item by pressing the Menu button.
4. Pressing the
▲
button, select the desired sub-menu item.
5. You can enter to sub-menu by pressing the Menu button and you
can exit from sub-menu item by pressing the Esc button.
(6. Press Esc button again if you want to leave the menu.)
The selectable sub-menus:
MODBUS mode: RTU or ASCII
MODBUS address: the slave address
MODBUS baud rate: 2400 or 4800 or 9600
MODBUS parity: even or odd or none
MODBUS wait: delay time before answer [ms]

Function
Testing the display and the digital outputs.
Sequence of operations
