Description
Trig Src
Key, IO, or Rmt
Sets the trigger source for the system.
Default is Rmt.
Action required:
Press Trig Src to toggle between Key, IO, and Rmt.
Key (Arb Run/Stop Key)
Selects the Arb Run Stop key or [List Run/Stop] as
a trigger source.
IO (DIO Trigger In)
Selects any configured digital IO (with Trigger
Input function) as a trigger source
Rmt (Remote Command)
Selects a remote interface command as a trigger
source.
Repeat Count
1 to 4096
Sets the Arb sequence repeat count. This sets the number of times that the Arb sequence is
executed before it completes.
Default is 1.
Continuous

Enables check box to repeat the sequence step continuously.
Step 4 – Run the Arb sequence
When Arb sequence is initiated, all the Arb properties cannot be configured, which includes adding or
removing step from the sequence list.
– Set Trigger Source to Key. Press Trig Src Key.
– Press the color-coded [On] key to enable the output.
– Press Run to start the Arb operation. To abort the operation, press Stop. Alternatively, press [List Run/Stop].
– Press Back to exit and return to the previous menu.
– Press [Scope/Datalog] to enter Scope view and display the Arb.
From the remote interface:
Observe the following when creating or editing an Arb sequence:
– The Arb function type must match the Arb type specified in each sequence step.
– Sequence steps must be specified sequentially. The last value in the parameter list is the sequence step
number.
– When a step is added, all Arb parameters must be entered.
The following commands program a voltage sequence comprised of a pulse, a ramp, and a sine Arb with the pulse
Arb repeated twice.
To set up output 1 to program a sequence of voltage waveforms:
ARB:FUNC:TYPE VOLT
ARB:FUNC:SHAP SEQ
