5.3 Error Messages
5.3.1 Software Installation

If you encounter this error message, be sure you have inserted a USB device into the AP25. If a device is
present, it may be malfunctioning. Replace the USB device with another to see if the problem is
resolved. Also, if using an USB stick, be sure it has been formatted with FAT before copying a file.

You may encounter this message when attempting to upgrade the AP25 operating system software
through an internet connection or USB.
If the message appears when using the internet connection, the message usually indicates
there is a problem with the physical connection between your processor and the outside
world. Check your cables, router, modem, or IP addressing scheme, as applicable, to make
sure all is in order.
If the message appears when using an USB stick, it usually indicates that either your USB
stick was not formatted before the file was loaded or you are attempting to load a file not
useable by the AP25. Be sure the file is correctly named and if you continue to have
problems, contact Datasat techsupport.
