6.1.2 Embedded (On-Board) GigaEthernet

A point-to-point configuration can be made to the on-board Ethernet connection. In order to
be recognized by VisiSet™, it is necessary to align the reader's Ethernet parameters using
the programming barcode procedure. For further details, see the "Matrix Family Setup
Procedure Using Programming Barcodes" document on the mini-DVD and the Ethernet
Folder in the VisiSet™ Help On Line.

In a Point-to-Point layout the reader is connected to a local host by using a

CAB-GE0x

cable. There is no need to use a crossover adapter since Matrix 450™ incorporates an
autocross function.
