The Datalogic HandScanner is a portable device (distance between person’s body and theantenna is 20 cm or less) and
excluded from SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) requirements.

Under the regulations of the FCC and the IC the user has to be aware of the following when using the Datalogic Hand-
Scanner:

1. This equipment complies with FCC/IC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment and meets
the FCC radio frequency (RF) Exposure Guidelines and RSS-102 of the IC radio frequency (RF) Exposure rules. This
equipment has very low levels of RF energy that are deemed to comply without testing of specific absorption rate (SAR).

2. This HandScanner system has been tested and meets the FCC/IC RF exposure rules when used with Datalogic acces-
sories supplied or designated for this product. Use of other accessories may not ensure compliance with FCC/IC RF
exposure rules.
