Keyboard Numeric Keypad
This feature specifies if numeric characters will be sent using the standard keys or the
numeric keypad.
Keyboard Send Control Characters
This feature is used by the Keyboard Wedge and USB Keyboard interfaces. It specifies
how the reader transmits ASCII control characters to the host. Reference
Scancode Tables for more information about control characters.
Options are as follows:
Send Ctrl+Key :
ASCII characters from 00H to 0x1FH inclusive are transmitted in the
format Ctrl+Key. Special keys are available in the range from 81H to A1.
Send Ctrl+Shift+Key :
The behavior is the same as above, but control keys are sent in
the format Ctrl+Shift+Keys.
Send Special Function Key :
Send characters between 00H and 1FH according to the
special function key mapping table (see "
Interface Type PC AT PS/2 Alt Mode or USB-Key-
). This is used to send keys that are not in the normal ASCII
set. A unique set is provided for each available scancode set.
