3.2.11.4 Labeling the S2A9550 Unit(s)
You may change the label assigned to each S2A9550 unit. This allows you to uniquely identify each
unit in the S2A9550 system. The CLI prompt for each S2A9550 is built by adding a colon and a space
at the end of the label. Each S2A9550 can have a label up to 31 characters long.
To change the label:
1. Type: DUAL LABEL=1|2
<Enter>.
2. Select which unit you want to rename
(Figure 3-28)
.
3. When prompted, type in the new label for the selected unit. The new name is displayed.
NOTE : If you type, DEFAULT, for new label, the label for the unit is restored to its default setting.
3.2.11.5 Singlet
You may set the system in singlet mode with the Dual Singlet command. System recognizes only unit
1. This command:
• disables cache coherency
• heals unit 1 if it is failed
• fails unit 2 before attempting to remove it.
NOTE : The system may automatically add unit 2 if it is connected to the system. Therefore, we advise
you to power off and remove unit 2 from the system after the Dual Singlet command is competed.
To set the system in singlet mode not couplet mode, type: DUAL SINGLET
<Enter>.
Enter the number of the unit you wish to rename.
