General Checklist
Should you experience problems using a DT9850 Series module, do the following:
1.
Read all the documentation provided for your product, including any “Read This First”
information.
2.
Check the OMNI CD for any README files and ensure that you have used the latest
installation and configuration information available.
3.
Check that your system meets the requirements stated on
.
4.
Check that you have installed your hardware properly using the instructions in
.
5.
Check that you have installed and configured the device driver properly using the
instructions in
.
6.
Check that you have wired your signals properly using the instructions in
.
7.
Search the DT Knowledgebase in the Support section of the Data Translation web site (at
www.datatranslation.com) for an answer to your problem.
If you still experience problems, try using the information in
to isolate and solve the
problem. If you cannot identify the problem, refer to

Symptom

Module is not recognized
You plugged the module into
your computer before installing
the device driver.
From the Control Panel > System > Hardware >
Device Manager, uninstall any unknown devices
(showing a yellow question mark). Then, run the
setup program on your OMNI CD to install the USB
device drivers, and reconnect your USB module to
the computer.
Module does not respond.
The module configuration is
incorrect.
Check the configuration of your device driver; see

The module is damaged.

Intermittent operation.
Loose connections or
vibrations exist.
Check your wiring and tighten any loose
