FLC910E Quick Start Guide

Configuring the “Station Adaptor”

•Select 

[Radio]

 to configure the RF transceiver operation:

 

•Select “Station Adaptor” as Operating Mode

 

•Click the 

[Apply]

 button at the bottom to save.

If the “Base Station” Broadcast Wireless Network Name (SSID) is set to yes:

•Click the 

[Site Survey]

 button to join the Base Station ID.

Note:

 Bandwidth must be set the same for the “Base Station” and “Station Adaptor” to connect and to be viewable 

by the Site Survey. 

•Click the 

[Edit]

 button to setup the VBS/VLAN settings.

•Select Security Profile Sta_Profile and click the 

[Edit]

 button. 

 

•Change the “Network Authentication: “ to “WPA2-PSK” to match the “Base Station” configured as above.

 

 

•Set the “WPA Passphrase (Network Key):” to match the “Base Station.

 

 

•Click 

[Apply]

 button at the bottom to save.

•Select 

[Basic Setup]

 to configure the IP Address settings

 

 

Change the Device Name (if desired for a more recognizable name).

 

 

Change the “IP Address” 

Note:

 All the units and equipment on the network will need unique IP addresses or use a DHCP server to  

assign an address). Note: When the settings are applied the IP Address will be changed.  To continue 

 

configuration changing the PC IP Address may be needed.

 

•Click 

[Apply]

 button at the bottom to save.

This unit is now configured as a “Station Adaptor” to communicate to your “Base Station”.

Note: 

The RSSI indication on the “Station Adaptor” will indicate the signal strength of the received “Base Station” 

wireless signal.  

Testing

To verify connectivity a simple ping command can be used.  Ping a device on the LAN connected to the opposing 

FLC910E or the FLC910E modem itself.  For more detailed information or troubleshooting information please refer to 

 

the user’s guide.
