►►►5. MAINTENANCE
►►5.1. CHECKS TO BE PERFORMED BY
THE USER
(FIG. 9-10)
The only maintenance to be performed regularly
is filter cleaning (FIG. 9). Cleaning must be per
-
formed by removing the filter from the front of the
dehumidifier and placing it under the water jet of a
normal sink. This must be performed on average
every month; in the event of use in very dusty en
-
vironments cleaning must be more frequent.
CAUTION: REMOVE THE FILTER FROM THE
APPLIANCE TO PERFORM CLEANING. IT IS
FORBIDDEN TO PERFORM CLEANING WITH
THE FILTER INSTALLED.
Depending on use, cleaning of the finned coil
may be required (FIG. 10), with a low pressure
water jet. Before performing washing it is strictly
required to disconnect the supply plug from the
power mains. To carry out a correct washing, fol
-
low the procedure below:
►Remove the screw fixing the cover to the struc
-
ture (1).
►Rotate the casing (2).
►Remove the two screws and remove the finned
coil guard (3) (Wash the finned coil with low
pressure water, paying attention not to wet the
electrical panel. THE WATER MUST ONLY
FLOW FROM THE TOP DOWN).
►Reinstall the guard and reinstall the two screws
(4).
►Rotate the cover to return it to the vertical posi
-
tion (5).
►Reinstall the screw fixing the cover to the struc
-
ture (6).
Before restarting the dehumidifier, ensure the
electrical parts are not wet and/or moist, in normal
conditions at least eight hours must elapse. This
cleaning operation improves the dehumidifier per
-
formance and assures its long life.
►►5.2. SPARE PARTS
Should it be required to replace one or more parts
during maintenance by specialised operators, this
must be done by using original spare parts only.
If required, request the “spare parts list” from your
vendor, specifying the model and serial number of
the unit.
►►5.3. DISMANTLING THE UNIT
The unit has been designed and built to ensure
continuous operation. The lifespan of some com
-
ponents such as the fan and the compressor de
-
pends on their maintenance.
CAUTION: The unit contains substances
and components dangerous for the environment
(electronic components, refrigerant gas and oils).
At the end of its useful life, in the event of disman
-
tling the unit, the operation must be carried out by
specialised refrigerating personnel.
The unit must be sent to specific specialised cen
-
tres for the collection and disposal of equipment
containing dangerous substances. The refrigerant
fluid and the lubricating oil contained in the circuit
must be recovered, in accordance with the regula
-
tions in force in your country.
