• Avoid loose wiring and possible shorts. Tighten all screws on AC circuit terminals
surely.
• It is a good practice to maintain a 90° angle between wires connected to the AC
circuit terminals and wires connected to the control terminals.
• Use shielded cables for Control Circuit wiring,
• The drive can be operated with up to 100 m of unshielded cable. Max. 30 m at
factyory set switch frequency. Up to 3 m of shielded motor cable can be used on thr
VLT Micro.
• If an EMI filter is required, it should be located close to the drive. Reducing carrier
frequency can also be a way to reduce EMI noise, however audible noise from the
motor will increase.
• An L-Filter can be added to the U.V.W. side of AC Motor Drives if needed. Do not use
a Capacitor, or L-C Filter (Inductance-Capacitance), or R-C Filter (Resistance-
Capacitance).
• A “Redidual current devices type B” can be used. To avoid mailfunctioning of the
motor and drive, sensitivity of the current sensor should not be less than 200 mA with
a response time not less than 0.1 second.
