Z0126 E1 Horizontal bracket

The E1 Horizontal bracket enables E1 loudspeaker cabinets to be

ceiling mounted and set to different vertical angles. When wall

mounted the E1 Horizontal bracket allows you to vary and set the

loudspeaker’s horizontal angle if fixed vertically to the wall.
The bracket is bolted to the M8 threaded inserts in the top and

bottom of the E1 cabinet and can be fixed directly to walls or ceilings

or  fitted to a loudspeaker stand using the Z5024 Loudspeaker stand

adapter. To fly the loudspeakers, use either the Z5010 TV spigot with

fixing plate, or bolt two Q9031 M8 Safety eyebolts to the bracket

and then fly the bracket from these using steel wire ropes.
The centre of gravity of an E1 loudspeaker is in line with the

brackets’s axis of rotation. This prevents the vertical flying angle

setting from limiting freedom of movement by creating a twisting

force on the mounting support -  an essential requirement for stable

flying. The bracket is locked in place top and bottom of the cabinet

frame by rubber washers and handbolts.
The E1 Horizontal bracket also allows the E1 loudspeaker to be floor

mounted for use as a stage monitor. For this purpose, position the

cabinet crossways and rotate the bracket so that it supports the

cabinet from below. The final vertical angle of the E1 loudspeaker

can then be adjusted.

Assembly

The E1 Horizontal bracket is supplied complete with two handbolts,

shakeproof washers and  plain washers for fixing the two frame

mounting plates. Four M8x16mm countersink screws are also

provided to fix the frame mounting plates to the top and bottom M8

threaded  inserts on the cabinet (tool required : 5 mm Allen key).
Fixing screws longer than those supplied must not be used. Longer

screws can punch in the E1 threaded inserts and breach the cabinet’s

air-tight seal.
In the middle section of the bracket are two M8 threaded inserts at

the standard spacing for attaching  other adapters such as Z5024

Loudspeaker stand adapter, Z5010 TV spigot with fixing plate or for

Q9031 Safety eyebolts. A 10 mm hole is located between the inserts

for fixing the bracket to floors, walls  or ceilings.

Load safety information

E1 Horizontal brackets are designed to support the weight of a

single E1 loudspeaker. Secondary safeties must always be provided

and used when flying loudspeaker loads.

Operation

After slackening the two hand bolts set the loudspeaker to the

required vertical angle and then retighten the bolts. The loudspeaker

is aligned horizontally at the Loudspeaker stand adapter or the TV

spigot mounting.
