BROILING
To Broil at Maximum Temperature (Regular Broil):
1)
Set the OVEN control to BROIL.
2)
Set the selector control (where provided) to BROIL.
3)
Pull the oven door open to the first stop (about 4”/10cm).
When you are through, turn oven control to OFF and selector control (where provided) to OFF.
To Broil at Controlled Temperatures (Auto Vari Broil):
1)
Set the OVEN control first to BROIL, then to the desired temperature.
2)
On self-clean models, set selector control to BROIL.
3)
Place food on the oven rack and close the door.
The temperature may be controlled by adjusting the control setting higher or lower.
Programmed Oven Cooking:
You will find your Automatic clock timer useful as a kitchen clock. In addition, the automatic settings permit
the oven and auto appliance outlet to be operated automatically at the time you select.
Before You Start To Cook:
1)
Place the food in the oven.
2)
Check that the clock is set at the correct time of day.
3)
Set selector control to AUTO (where provided).
NOTE:
Foods of a highly perishable nature, such as milk, poultry, eggs, fish, pork, etc., should not be in the
oven for more than two hours before or after cooking.
• When broiling, only the top oven element comes on. Food is cooked by radiant heat from the
element.
