Appropriate Use
The DDF4520HDV-DN-SM (surface mount variant) is a hybrid HD network camera
built into a vandal-resistant (IK10) dome enclosure.
In addition to HD video over IP (Ethernet), the hybrid camera provides for a simul -
taneous analogue SD (PAL/NTSC) video output via BNC (CVBS).
The camera is designed for indoor installations on ceilings and walls and can be
powered via PoE (Power over Ethernet, Class 0, IEEE 802.3af) or supplied with
12 V DC (separate power supply unit required).
NOTICE
The DDF4520HDV-DN-SM is designed for indoor
installations. However, an outdoor installation may be
permitted, but only in compliance with the following
instructions/recommendations:
• Only use IP67 (Ingress Protection 67) approved
components and assemblies.
• Always use the delivered O-rings.
• Adhere the delivered adhesive-backed gasket to the
bottom of the housing base.
• Always use the delivered PG16 cable gland (or
equivalent) for the cable feedthrough.
