2 First-Time System Setup & Launch
Physical Connections
LED Video Display
Connecting the Video Image Processor (VIP) to an LED video display requires duplex LC
fiber-optic cables. To connect the processor to the display, follow the directions below
while referring to
:
1. Locate Port A and Port B on the back of the processor.
Note:
Both ports can be used to connect primary data and backup data to the
display.

Insert the duplex LC fiber-optic cables into their corresponding ports. The cables will
click into place when seated properly. Match the supplied cable label to the port
label.
Note:
Remove fiber dust covers from cables prior to inserting into ports.
Video System
There is one DVI-D (DVI Digital) video feed option for connecting a video feed to the
processor. The following DVI resolutions are supported:
• VIP-5060
- 800x600, 1280x720
• VIP-5160
- 800x600, 1280x720, 1440x900 with reduced blanking
Connecting the Video Source
To connect DVI video, follow the steps below:
1. Insert the male plug into the
female jack.
2. Turn the screws on the male plug
clockwise to lock. Refer to
