5.4 LED Drivers

In each scoreboard, one or more LED drivers perform the task of switching LEDs on and off.
LED drivers are located inside of a driver enclosure. Refer to

to view the location

and components of a Tuff Sport driver enclosure.

All scoreboards in this manual use 16-column drivers (

). Some scoreboard models

contain more than one driver to accommodate all of the digits and indicators. Refer to the
electrical and signal specifications in

Appendix B

to determine the type and number of

drivers for a particular scoreboard model.

Each driver has numerous connectors providing power and signal inputs and outputs to the
scoreboard digits and indicators. The table on the following page shows the function of these
connectors for a 16-column driver:
