LPS24

– USER MANUAL

10.3.2. ELC luminaires not installed:

If after connecting ELC series luminaires it is observed that they  are not installed on

the device, review the following points:

The circuits must be configured in “

ELC

” mode

The device’s communication is only possible with Daisalux ELC series 24v luminaires.

Communication  with  new  luminaires  connected  to  the  device  can  take  up  to  60

minutes to establish from when they are connected to the device.

If  the  luminaires  have  been  previously  connected  to  another  device,  they  must

remain  connected  and  with  power  for  24  hours  to  the  new  device  so  that  they  are
installed on it.

The  distance  from  the  device  to  the  first  luminaire  on  the  circuit  and  between

luminaires  on  the  same  circuit  must  not  exceed  80  metres.  At  greater  distances,
correct communication of luminaires with the device is not guaranteed.

Check that the luminaires have power on their terminals. Check wiring on the circuit if

there is no voltage on its input.

If there is input voltage,  check that the light  or one  of the light’s signalling LEDs is

illuminated or flashing. Otherwise, check the connection to the lu

minaire’s terminals

or between the anchor plate and the luminaire.

10.4. Battery Problems:

10.4.1. Battery duration fault:

When the device notifies a duration fault, check the following:

Device’s  output  power  (must  be  within  the  ranges  described  in  this

manual).  If  the

power is excessive it is outside of specifications and therefore its duration is reduced
to below that configured.

If the power is within range, the battery will probably have to be replaced with a new

one.

10.4.2. Reversed battery connection:

If there is a reversed battery connected, the fuses must be replaced after disconnecting
the  battery.  After  replacing  the  fuses,  reconnect  the  battery  according  to  the  polarity
indicated.

11. Accessories

11.1 LPSLan/LPSWeb/ModBus

LPSLan is an accessory that adds ethernet connectivity to LPS24 devices. It includes a web
server (LPSWeb) used to configure and display the status of centralised LPS series Daisalux
through a local or internet network.  The system includes

ModBus

 gateway for managing

the LPS24 equipment. See connection information in

6.3.7 LPSLan

It can accessed from a web browser so there is no need to install any additional software on
your computer, tablet or smartphone. The only requirement is that you have a web browser
and a network connection with the LPS series device.

From  the  LPSWeb  the  device  status  can  be  viewed  and  certain  aspects  of  its  operation
configured, as well as the centralised luminaires on the Daisalux ELC series connected to it.

For a detailed description of the operating mode, consult the

LPSWeb

 manual.
