3.4.1  External Protection Device Abnormality

Detection

Detects open or short circuit between external input terminals in indoor unit.

Error Decision 

Conditions

When an open circuit occurs between external input terminals with the remote controller set to

external ON/OFF terminal.

Supposed

Activation of external protection device

Improper field setting

Defective indoor unit control PCB

Troubleshooting

ON/OFF 

input from 

outdoor (mode No. 12, 

first code No. 1) has been 

set to external protection device

Check the setting state of the

remote controller.
